Enterprise WLAN Market Expected To Rebound Nearly 10% in 2025 as the Transition to Wi-FI 7 Begins

Incline Village, Nevada – June 7, 2024 – A newly released report by 650 Group, a leading Market Intelligence Research firm for communications, data center, and cloud markets, indicates that the Enterprise Wireless LAN (WLAN) Infrastructure Market declined 27% Y/Y in 1Q24 to approximately $2.1 B. The report also highlighted that Cloud-Managed WLAN Services experienced 10% Y/Y revenue growth, which is far more robust than the overall market.

“While channel inventories and difficult year-on-year comparisons have dominated the conversation about today’s Enterprise WLAN market, significant growth opportunities are ahead. Most notable drivers include the transition to Wi-Fi 7 and the ongoing transition to cloud and AI-based systems,” said Chris DePuy, Founder and Technology Analyst at 650 Group. “We expect that next year we will see a meaningful rebound from 2024 revenue levels as market-share leading vendors like Cisco Systems, Ubiquiti, HPE Aruba Networking, Huawei, and H3C benefit from the re-acceleration.

“We anticipate the Enterprise WLAN market will increasingly gravitate towards using AI-based management systems. These AI-based cloud-management systems are also incorporating the simultaneous management of adjacent devices, such as Ethernet Switches, SD-WAN Routers, cellular radio systems and security systems to improve on troubleshooting and network management. We see customers embracing Cloud-Managed Enterprise Wireless LAN systems as part of a larger adoption trend towards AI-based cloud-management systems that encompass the entire network and security systems that companies typically employ.”

650 Group’s 1Q’24 Cloud-Managed Network Services publication indicates that the top five vendors are Cisco Systems, Extreme Networks, Juniper Networks, HPE Aruba, and Commscope. In the 1Q’24 Enterprise WLAN report, Cisco Systems, HPE Aruba, Huawei, Ubiquiti, and Juniper rounded out the top five players by revenue.
