We are pleased to introduce our new company, 650 Group, a company that provides market intelligence research.
- Why did you call the company 650 Group? We chose the name of the company to reflect where we are physically located, in the 650 telephone area code, in the heart of Silicon Valley, literally a 10-20 mile drive from many of the companies we research – Cisco Systems, Intel, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Ruckus Wireless, Arista Networks, and many others.
- What is Market Intelligence Research? We are, at the heart of it, research analysts. And what we do is gather information about many technology industry markets to provide our customers with market intelligence. So, we put it together and came up with Market Intelligence Research.
- Who are we? The founders are Chris DePuy and Alan Weckel. We are both engineers and have both worked in the industries we cover. Chris worked at Wireless Security Corporation, a WLAN startup sold to McAfee (now Intel) and Alan worked at Cisco Systems and Raytheon, designing switches. We met as colleagues another market research company, worked together for many years and felt we could provide a better level of service to our customers by striking out on our own.
