We attended an analyst meeting held in Fortinet’s headquarters and Executive Briefing Center (EBC) this week. Over ten different executives presented to the small audience about product, marketing and go-to-market activities at the cybersecurity leader. We left with the sense that SASE is the company’s key growth engine and that the company is rapidly expanding its product breadth to meet customers’ future needs, as well. The company’s Operational Technology (OT) security offerings, which have long been a driver of new business opportunities for Fortinet, are expanding and continue to be a source of growth for the company. We wouldn’t be surprised if 2026 was a year where the company begins marketing activities beyond Fortinet’s traditional firewall and SASE roots, especially given its success in various Endpoint-oriented technologies, including ZTNA, VPN and posture management. Looking longer-term, we believe the company’s cloud-based efforts will take shape, in light of its ongoing buildout of company-owned Points of Presence (POPs) and efforts with various cloud infrastructure players, such as Google.
