Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) company, Tarana Wireless, launched its second-generation product series called G2. The wireless radio system, intended for installation on wireless towers, supports the 3, 5, and 6 GHz spectrum in the same hardware and can practically connect to up to 400 homes or businesses. The tower-mounted product (BN) is priced at $21,000, and the new G2-class product, which mounts outside customers’ sites (the RN), is priced at $800. Compared to its prior generation, called G1, which was launched four years ago, it supports twice as many homes, a significant capacity improvement. The G2 product uses company-designed semiconductors, unlike the approach taken by many of its competitors. In our research on the FWA market, we predict ongoing growth, and Tarana Wireless has been taking share in this market.
